DON'T waste your time or gas to come here. This is a town facade wood backdrop in the middle of a neighborhood. There are no actual old buildings. Instead go to Calico Ghost Town!
The entrance fee is $5 per person, not per vehicle. We went April 20, 2016 and all of the trails are closed due to high rains and Rock falls. The lady in the visitor center was nice, and there were great views from the windows. I was sad that we didn't get to hike, but the views were beautiful!
This was kind of a pain to find. Once we got there, we didn't get out, there was mud everywhere, the socks are now hot pink and covered with disgusting grafitti.
Stopped in today April 20,2016. We got there about 9:30. The shop appeared closed, we took some photos outside and Harley popped around the corner and introduced himself. He unlocked and opened the doors, another couple showed up. He let's us take photos, showed us around, and did a song and dance for us. Overall very entertaining.
