Do yourself a favor and give your kids a memory of the great salt lake. We only stopped as we didn’t think our campsite on the mainland would have a walk to water (and good thing-it wasn’t even within view). Entrance fee to enter island but then you can park and go to the water. WEAR SWIM SHOES or the long walk to the water will burn your feet from hot sand. ALSO if you’re unfamiliar with the lake there are zillions of bugs at water edge. They aren’t horrible before water or in water but they are visible in huge clouds at water. So hold your breath and run into and out of water-or wear mosquito hat. They are annoying but don’t bite. Once in the water deep enough the salt allows you to freely float. Fun experience. Bath house and outside rinse showers or else PAY showers.

This is not the name. I called and a younger male voice said $20/night; then arrived and an older male said $30/night and denied anyone would have told me otherwise. Check in at hotel and it doesn’t seem many stay at rv Park as they weren’t the most accommodating during checkin-almost acted as if we were a bother. Hookups are all on opposite of rv hookup sides (that was weird). This is a “stay because you have no other options but stay in your rv until you leave” type Park.

Finally a location we could find at Yellowstone where the RV parking wasn’t already full of cars (actually we parked in bus parking). Nice easy walk with several geysers and colorful sulfur holes.

Simple park (picture an open lot next to small convenience store with hookups). Worked for a quick overnight stay-arrived after dark and left before 8. But full hookups and beautiful landscape view.

Lots of activities and super busy rv Park. Decent sized sites for amount of campers. Near Mount Rushmore and C2C Park.

Nice campground with accommodating owners. Drove in at the beginning of a storm and they waited with us then escorted us to our site in the rain. Nice showers and several kid activities.

Pretty sure the adults enjoyed this stop more than the kids as we played on the actual field and took pics walking out of the corn. FREE and great way to immortalize a classic film.

Fun place to quick stay in the rv. Shuttle right to our camper that took us to the casino. Then continental breakfast at the hotel-nice! Nice change of pace from playgrounds and swimming pools for the adults. Plus deer just come right up to campground which is enjoyable to watch.
