Not a bad campground. The nearby river is very pretty and you can go gold panning in it. We didn't end up staying the night cause it was raining so hard but we were there for about 5 hours that evening. The bathrooms by the store are very nice. The ones across the street by the river aren't bad either. The store was very neat with everything you could want to go panning for gold. We rented a sluice box for the day for $10 which was pretty neat. The sites aren't bad, a little close and kinda small but with plenty of trees and flat. If you're in the area, especially if you want to try gold panning, I would give it a go.

We stopped in for the night on the way to Maine from Niagra. We had been camping for 2 nights and had gotten soaked since it hadn't stopped raining the entire time. The room was very clean and well-kept. The continental breakfast was very nice also. There is a pretty view in the front building out to the stream. There is a nice pool also but we didn't go swimming since we were only there for a little while. And it was pretty chilly out, even in the morning when it finally stopped raining.

I would be able to tell you all about it but due to the insane over pricing of the nature walk, we failed on buy tickets. We had come from Niagra where both attractions were half as much. If you also don't want to shell out that much, check out The Basin. It's about 5 minutes up the road from the Gorge and it is free. It is about the same thing and is also handicapped accessible.
We did get some food at the food court at the gorge and the fries were great. The prices weren't bad for that.
We decided to go out on the back deck to eat, which was very pretty. Except for the dead mouse that was laying on the ground next to our table. When we told the staff about it, they cleaned it up right away but it was still pretty gross.

We only stayed here one night on our way from Niagra to Maine and it rained pretty much the entire time but I STILL loved this campground. It is so pretty and all of the sites are tucked into the trees so you have some privacy. The bath house is very nice and the showers are very large. You don't have to pay for them but the water shuts off every 20 seconds or so. You have to keep hitting the buttons which are right in the shower so it's not too bad, just annoying. The lake is gorgeous and both the sunset and sunrise were amazing. The beach was very nice with bath houses and a trail around the lake. We saw all of this in the morning between a break in the rain but did not get to make use of it. We will definetly be back (hopefully when it isn't raining) though. And if you want somewhere to get breakfast, go to Keyes Pancake House. It's about 5 minutes from the campground and the food is awesome. The blueberry pancakes are great!

Definetly a must do in Niagra. The Canadian side and the US side do about the same thing so it doesn't really matter which one you do. We did the US side. It gives you great views of both sides of the falls. We were there on a day when it was raining so there was no line. However, it cleared up while we were on the boat and when we got back, it was packed. The ponchos they give you were really nice but if you are going to do both this and Cave of the Winds, do the cave first so you can wear the shoes from there on the boat. If you want to take pictures, take a go-pro or waterproof camera. If your phone is waterproof, you can use that but I would use a selfie stick so you don't loose your phone. It is very wet and you might loose your grip. Try to get on the top deck towards the front or the right side. The selfie stick also helps to get above everyone's head. Prepare to get wet but not as wet as Cave of the Winds

Very neat. Terrapin Point and Luna's Island give you some amazing views. Cave of the Winds is located on the island so if you do that, go check them out after you do the cave.

The best thing we did in Niagra! It was awesome. You were actually in the falls and really got to see the power of them. The free shoes they gave you were really nice also. We wore them to maid of the mist too so if you're going to do both; go here first. If you want to take pictures, either take a go-pro or waterproof camera. If your phone is waterproof, you could use it (that's what I did). If you use your phone, I suggest a selfie stick. It lets you take pictures without really worrying about loosing your grip on your phone. We got lucky when we were there since it rained the entire day. There were no lines and we went right in. I suggest getting there at 8:30 (it opens at 9). That way you can get there to get tickets earlier then most people.

Very neat spot. It was very crowded and seemed like a very popular place to hike. There were some groups that were a little disruptive but nothing too bad. The trail was about a 15 minute walk. After you cross the creek and come to the fork where 3 trails meet, take the one on the left if you came from the road and the one of the right if you parked in the lot. The flame was pretty small when we went but it was still pretty neat. The water was very low but if it had been any higher, it might have been hard to get to the falls without getting your shoes wet. We also saw a baby deer on the trail which was very neat. Definetly worth stopping if you are driving by.

We got there at 9:30 and left at 11. The earlier in the day you get there, the better. If it is too hot or sunny, you probably won't see much.

If you have a chance to stop by, I would highly recommend it! The day we stopped by, it was cloudy and there was a little rain. It was perfect weather for the elk to come out into the fields! Take binoculars and a zoom lense for your camera if you have one (if not, phones work just fine). We went to the Visitors Center and looked around. There is some good information about the elk and there is a short video they show every 30 minutes. It's about $5 per person but it's worth it. Plus the money goes to the conservation of the herd. They have view screens in the Center showing camera looking towards the fields and there is a walk you could do arou d the them. We left there and drove down Winslow Road. We saw about 30 elk in the field across from the Elk View Diner. They were pretty far off though. It was a great place to get pictures. We drove through the park for a while and down one dirt road (and it was actually dirt so if there was a lot of rain, smaller cars might not make it. We had a minivan that was fine though). We ended up seeing one loan elk standing on the side of the road which was even better. Even if you don't see any elk, the park is very pretty and just driving around was lots of fun.
