We hiked the piedras Marcus canyon and it was incredibly hot. I was miscommunicated with a friend and thought we were getting into an easy 10-30 minute walk. Apparently there is an easy paved path and we went to the wrong one. If you are used to the heat and don't wear flip flops, this hike wouldn't be so bad. We were dying by the end, even with cutting it a half mile short.
The pool and half of the hotel was under construction. The room was clean though, and breakfast was good for a basic hotel.
Based on some of the reviews, we did not dare stop to get out of the car. We took photos as we drove by. The lady was out front on the sidewalk in a chair.
Awesome spot. Beautiful mill and gardens, as well as lots of neat turtles in the water
Neat stop, but do not come after a heavy rain. The cars were in a pond and the surrounding area was incredibly muddy. Be prepared to get muddy.
Definitely worth a 5 minute stop. We even found a spotted salamander running around! Only ones there
This is an amazing place. Even with a giant thunderstorm in the middle of our day, we had a great time. The manager had little competitions to entertain us during rain and then after the rain on the slides. The two slides they had for older kids/adults were a lot of fun. We will definitely be going back
