I am a frequent Hampton Inn loyal customer, so I have stayed in a few beachfront Hampton Inns. If I compare the Hampton Inns in Pensacola Beach and Jacksonville Beach, this hotel wins with the best pool. Actually, this hotel had the best pool I have seen in any Hampton Inn...But Pensacola Beach wins for tone. This hotel has you sign towels in and out, the breakfast was not desirable and there was a tone that you were going to steal something. At the same time, many of the guests were gobbling down all the free cookies and coffee they could get their hands on. You can tell they were dealing with guest that were not accustomed to such a nice hotel. One young girl rubbed the tongs for the free cookies across her shirt before taking several cookies. Even the alarm clock, when I unplugged it to charge my devices, had a safety on it to prevent people from stealing the plug. Otherwise, this was a GREAT hotel and the beach was AWESOME!!! We will go back again, but the breakfast has much to be desired and the staff was extremely nice, but I was not given that royal Hilton Honors member treatment. Maybe they will earn a five star on my next visit...
So awesome! Thank you to the Dundee Township residents that built this park! We live in Elgin and my kids refer to this park as the "Green Park." So we go to the Green Park.
Great hotel to stay in! We have stayed here at least seven times in the last 4 years and this is the best hotel. We have tried the Holiday Inn in covington and the Hyatt House in Stonebrook. This place is the best for customer service, cleanliness and just the overall location. The fitness center could be improved, but otherwise, it is a nice place!
One suggestion: Please stop serving turkey sausage. If you notice, there is tons left!
Umm...keep driving down the road! This place should be a Motel 6, not a Hampton Inn. Right now, I am writing this review from my personal hotspot, because the wifi does not work. There is black mold in the ceiling in the bathroom, hairspray and floss picks on the floor left by previous guests and they gave us a smoking room, though this is a non-smoking hotel (see pictures). We found black specks in the bed, but were too tired to investigate and my son is pulling other people's hair off him from the bed. Like Dory says in Finding Nemo "Just keep swimming" or searching the Internet for a better hotel.
AwesomE with a big E! This place rocked! The customer service was great and we just went through the free part. We did not go on the tours. There are plenty of trails to walk and a huge exploration area, sponsored by Disney, to help you understand the caves. If you do not explore the caves, this is worth the stop! I saw a lot of families with little children camping, so we might try it next time!
It was great to take a picture with the statue! There is not much to do after taking a picture. Remember this is a small town, so if you are not the traditional family, you may get a few stares and not the warmest hello. It was cool to take a picture with Superman!
O.k. So the gay dolphin, is not really a gay dolphin, but a gift shop. Let me say, if you are looking for a novelty, they have it here. From license plates with your name on it to colored seashells to Halloween hermit crabs. Even voodoo dolls for luck. They have it all. I didn't buy a thing, but enjoyed browsing this place and would do it again. Make a stop here. If you like Spencer's and Hot Topic in the mall, this is a step above...beach style.
Disgusting! Yuck with a moldy cherry on top. My shoe stuck to the bathroom floor and it was disgusting. They had the nerve to have a tip jar in the bathroom. I have tip. DON'T STOP HERE! I am shocked they passed the health inspection.
From the beautiful falls to the Education center, where my sons could feed the fish to sliding rock to the Visitor's center. It was AWESOME! Go early in the morning, so you miss the crowds. TIP: If you go to Sliding Rock before 10 a.m., it is FREE! Otherwise, it is $2 per person. There are just so many great things to do. Put this on your bucket list.
You need to do this! Let me repeat...you need to do this! Do I need to say it one more time...If you do not want to drive all the way up, there are small little stop offs along the way. It was awesome! Just awesome!
