This was a great start to our day! We went early in the morning and it was not busy, so we got right on. Make sure you take a light jacket, because it is cool at the top of the mountain. The tour guide on the tramway was very sweet, she gave us lots of history and neat facts about the area. My son and I do not like heights very much, and she made sure we were doing OK during the trip. Sorry I cannot remember her name!
No bathrooms at the top of the mountain (port a potty), so make sure that you go before you get on the tram!
Had hot chocolate at the restaurant up top, it was good, but a little expensive for what you get. But, if you go to the restaurant for dinner (? after 4:30), you get a discount on your tram pass (have to make reservations ahead of time to get the discount). Don't forget to put sunscreen on if you burn easily! I think most of us had a small burn from the few hours that we spent there. TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY!

This was an AWESOME stop! We were a little rushed, because it was starting to rain, but my kids and I all jumped off the cliff several times. After you get in the water it is not as bad as you think!!! HA HA, I am kidding....IT IS COLD!!! But it was worth jumping in and becoming a human Popsicle for a little while. It's history is very interesting and the experience was wonderful! I was also amazed that they had lifeguards there. I am not sure if that was normal, or if we just hit on a special day, but it was nice!
Several locals were there and they were all very nice. We heard stories about the park and enjoyed the encouragement they gave us as we stood on the cliff deciding whether to go or not!!! TOTALLY WORTH THE DRIVE!!! But make sure it is a really HOT day...that way the water will feel wonderful!

WOW, I cannot believe the colors in the canyon! It was amazing how beautiful it was! We stopped by the visitor center and saw the "lighthouse", it is really beautiful!

My kids had the best time here! However, it had just rained and it was a total mud pit... so make sure you bring an extra pair of shoes, a plastic bag to put your old shoes in, and a towel to wipe off with... if it has rained! I would love to go back when it has not rained!

Courtyard Marriott is always a nice hotel that will not break your bank to stay at! Just wish they had a breakfast in the morning!

WOW!!! This was a total surprise! I did not think my family would enjoy this as much as we did. It was SO INTERESTING!!!! AND FREE!!!! If you are driving anywhere near this facility, take an hour and go on a self guided tour, wave at the workers below, and learn a lot about our nations currency printing system... You will not be disappointed! You can even buy uncut currency...COOL!!!
