We had a very positive experience and would definitely stay here again. We stayed in cabin #4 which was adorable with a full kitchen, bedding provided, and just far enough away from the noisy fun zone. My only suggestion is to be sure you plan in advance any hiking or sightseeing or visit the national and state parks visitors centers for information. The KOA surprisingly had no brochures or maps for the parks. They verbally gave us hiking suggestions and scribbled down some directions. Since there is no wifi you can't google anything once you are there. As long as you know this ahead of time and plan your outings in advance you'll be fine. The hiking to Harney Peak aka Black Elk Peak was amazing. It's long (about 7 miles round trip) but so worth it. Our 9 year old complained but she was so proud of herself when she made it to the top!

Wonderful experience! Loved the room with the fireplace and kitchen. And you can't beat the location. Very helpful and friendly staff. The little grocery store across the street had great food - pricey but local, organic and convenient.

Our kids loved this place! The hiking and exploring is limitless. My husband was proud that he found a fossil. We took pictures and reported it and the park immediately immediately responded by email requesting more information. Pretty cool!

Such a wonderful experience for our family! This was one of the highlights of our road trip. Be sure you eat breakfast at the ranch. Not to be missed!

We have never laughed so hard! This was a bucket list event for our family and we had a blast. Be sure to bring bug spray because the flies bite. We chose this route thru the heart of Nebraska to the Badlands/Mt Rushmore and we are so glad we did. The motel was cute and clean.The Sandhills are beautiful and we had the road all to ourselves! So much better than taking the major highway 29 through Omaha.

Loved this! Perfect spot to stretch our legs and take pics. Easy to get to from I-44.
