North Cascades was simply bliss, to say the least. I've never seen anything like it before in my short 21 years of living. It most certainly lands a spot in my top 5 favorite places I visited on my 2 month long road trip. I wish I could have stayed much longer! Diablo Lake/Creek is a must see while here!
My boyfriend and I decided to take 2 months off work and road trip across the country to the west coast. We are from The Thumb of Michigan so we went the northern route through the UP with Tahquamenon Falls being our first stop. And it definitely started our trip off right! We did the 4 mile (one way) hike from the lower falls to the upper falls and shuttled back to our campsite. The hike was challenging and beautifully breathtaking. We even drove back to the Upper Falls the next day to get some better pictures and eat at the brewery. If you ever take a trip to the UP, Tahquamenon Falls should absolutely be on your list.
Just hiking this beautiful shore isn't enough in my opinion to capture 100% of the absolute true beauty Pictured Rocks has to offer! I highly recommended doing a boat tour if you really want some amazing photos of Pure Michigan!
