Beware of all road dust! You will drive on the farm roads for quite a long time (say 30 min or more). My van got totally gray + beige'ish! I'm glad, however, that we were able to arrive there. The GPS directions went weird places, and I was afraid of losing the data signal. There was a store, which was closed, and no bathroom or anything. It's just a bridge unless you have any romantic sentiment.
We stayed in the tent site near the pond. This place seems well organized and managed with a wonderful set of good facilities and services. We didn't use any but just the bathroom since we arrived late and left early next morning. $50 for a campsite will be worth if those services are used. For us, it was the highest fee during this whole trip.
I was quite impressed by Drake Well Museum and its presentation! It was so worth stopping by. It's a first black diamond, crude oil, produced in the US back in 1850'ish. The museum staff were all friendly explaining the things in details.
Beautiful! I got the recommendation to see Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. Yeah, they were lighted out and looked gorgeous!
The lights were in rainbow colors and also in blue to observe Mesothelioma Awareness for September.
Cozy park! Nice walking along Niagara River. The bathroom facility in the parking lot was clean.
We just had a good break here. There are souvenir shop and separate bathroom facility. Nice lawns for good walk!
Great forests!
The campgrounds I stayed were for hunters. Darn, I will research more before staying next time on ^^;
Nice and cozy park overlooking Lake Superior. We stopped here for a break and just observed the aerial lift bridge went up and came down. The public parking is convenient for eat out, too. I saw a horse carriage for sight seeing tour.
We couldn't see the Northern Lights. It was a high expectation, and we will try again! Other than that, we probably don't come here since we are not lake people.
It's a State-operated campground. Good price at $17 for primitive. I just didn't like the out-house which was scary and dirty...
There was no one in the day-use campground, and we were able to enjoy a good walk. Brook, the dog, did lots of zoomie!
I wished to see Northern Lights, but it was a rainy night, darn! Next time!
