Super cool place- totally worth the stop for kids and adults alike!
Just what we expected- a giant ball of twine! My son read about this in The Genius Files book, so we had to stop. Fun photo op. Would have given 5 stars if town had been a bit more lively...on a Sunday nothing was open.
This wooden watermelon happened to be parked under an awning in the back of the museum parking lot. We visited on a Sunday and the town was a bit quiet. Might have been more fun if watermelon vendors were open nearby.
My boys wanted to give this watermelon 4 stars- so maybe it appeals more to the younger set (late elementary).
Fun stop. Neat little museum ($1 for people 10 and older). Nice history of the carousel prior to the ride (starts every 30 min). Pretty fast. 25 cents per person.
If you are traveling with kids there is a great park just across the street.
Pretty cool! Nice walkway and lit at night.
A large Czech egg- just what you'd expect. It is now painted.
It is about 2 miles south of the highway (exit ramp 206). Drive south to stop sign, turn right. You will see the egg on your left about 2 blocks west.
Good for a silly photo-op.
A silly stop to get out and stretch. Makes for a fun pic, even if the kids groaned the whole time :)
Though we have no idea who Johnny Kaw is, this is a great stop if you have kids. The statue sits in a city park with great playground facilities, bathroom, gardens, splash pad and free wi-fi. In summer, parking can be difficult. Appropriate for ages 2-12.

Nice quick stop to gather a little travel history and stretch. Well maintained. Easy access.
