The pecan is under a large canopy next to the Pecan Museum at the Texas. Agricultural Center. The pecan tree is the state tree of Texas. The museum was closed. I think a call ahead is required, but the pecan and some signage about the pecans are accessible under the canary. Just a couple miles off of I-10. There is a demonstration garden and a school tour was going through when we were there. It was worth a quick stop.

RV park is very nicely maintained and has an attended travel center offering showers, restrooms and laundry, along with shuttle service to the casino and golf course. On our second visit, the buffet was just as good as I remember, with much fresh variety, and well prepared.
