We tried stopping here for lunch on our way home from our family road trip, only to see they are closed as in shut down. I am so bummed. My grandparents took me here when I was a kid and I was so excited to share it with my kids. I hope they reopen.
The staff is friendly and the rooms are large but I’ve stayed at nicer Hampton Inns in Nashville. You can tell it was recently remodeled but it was done poorly. Trim pieces are popping off walls, a bathroom shelf looks like it will fall off the wall, toilet rocks when sat on. The lightning is also poor which makes the rooms feel dark. It is located very close to the airport but it seems far from everything else.
Loved our visit here. Our kids are 8, 6, and 6 and they were amazed by all of the sea turtles. Especially the ones over 100lbs! It took less than an hour to see everything which is perfect on a hot day. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and friendly.
I am amazed at the size of the room for the price. We are traveling with our small children and booked the one bedroom king suite. It is huge! The bedroom is actually separated from the very large living room and kitchen area. The rest of the hotel is great as well. Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly.
