Wupatki ("WOO-POT-KEY) is a really cool drive-thru experience. Lots of ruins abound, most of which are welcome to those who want to get out of your car and walk. I try to go early with a breakfast and enjoy my meal sitting on one of the Mesas as the sun comes up. Do NOT take pottery or other artifacts that you see here. The authorities throw the book at people who steal artifacts!

While I agree this is an incredible place for climbing, hikers and campers will also enjoy Sycamore canyon and the Forks. A word to the wise is to be prepared to bushwhack, and maintain awareness for mountain lion (a mammoth of a cat lives in that canyon).
