Parked at church next to the spider bug and then walked over to take pictures. DO NOT let anyone hang onto or off the legs, it will sway back and forth.

Short 5-10 minute stop you can get out and stretch your legs. Cannot go in but looked through the window and they had brochures with the history of the filling station.

Self-guided tour of the main floor and upstairs. A lot of memorabilia from over the years, I enjoyed the gowns from all the First Ladies of Arkansas. The ones from the late 1800 and early 1900s are beautiful. The mansion is very beautiful inside and out. The upstairs floors are very creaky which is scary if you are not used to sounds of older buildings.

The only down side is that we went in the summer and it was scorching! We walked the trails to the mounds. There is a small museum and gift shop onsite too. Beautiful place.

Great stop! So much you can do here and it is such a beautiful place if you just wanted to walk around. The Museum is very informative and the staff there do not hesitate to answer questions or interact with you. There is so much to do here I regret we did not make this a day trip.

If you have other places you are going to it is worth the stop. We drove out there just to see the Totem, I think it was about 30 mins from Hwy 44. We made the mistake of driving about there about 8pm so by the time we got there it was dark and hard to see. Also make sure you have some change with you when you are going back on the Hwy, the toll both is change only. Thankfully someone before us had dropped a few quarters on the ground.

Defiantly was interesting driving thru the streets where neighborhoods used to be before the tornado came through. I wish I would have seen it before that. You can see many huge mounds of the chat as you are driving thru.
