If you do nothing else in this life, see the Grand Canyon, it is awe inspiring! Well worth the trip from Williams AZ. Don't miss the air museum on your way back.
This is a nice motel! Very clean. Great heaters in the rooms! No breakfast, but that was ok for the price. There is a wonderful cafe just down the street. The down side? The office is closed after the last reservation arrives, and doesn't open til morning. That in itself is not the problem, the jerk with the F350 diesel who started it up outside our door at 6:15, and let it idle for a half hour was the problem, with the office closed, there was no one to complain to. Of course this truck and its fumes was not the fault of the Hilander hotel. We had enough of the diesel fumes, dressed quickly, dropped the room key in the box and departed. This is a nice comfortable, clean hotel, and we would have no trouble staying there again.
Nice hotel, our standards are clean sheets, warm shower, breakfast, all at a cheap price. This hotel met those basics. We got there around 9pm, so finding dinner was a challenge. Follow the trucks thru town to the truck stop, pass up all of the big name fast food, and get Chesters Chicken, brought it back to the hotel, ate like pigs, slept like logs! Breakfast in the AM was good. friendly staff. Recommend. We will stay again there next year!
Do not miss this. The cars have been spray painted MANY times over. There is plenty of paint cans lying around in case you don't bring one. What you paint today, will most likely be painted over tomorrow, but what the heck, it's fun! And there is no admission fee.
This hotel is a nice clean place to stay. The location is easy to get to, as well as you are able to park you car next to your room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If you are in the need of a place to stay I would recommend it highly.
This is a cozy little hotel that shines amongst the large chains should be considered if you are passing through and need a place to stay that is clean, and appears to have their rooms totally updated. The breakfast was great not to be missed and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The next time that I am in the area I am going to stay here again!
