The Portsider is a Public Bar conveniently situated on George Street, the main street of Port Chalmers. Port Chalmers is twelve kilometres or about twenty minutes drive from the Octagon Dunedin. You will find tasteful decor, a log burner and of course a great selection of craft beers and many other good things to eat and drink.

The well appointed bar provides a welcoming atmosphere for friends, family, locals and travellers. The Portsider's emphasis is on craft beers and fresh simple food, including homemade breads, sauces and condiments and hand cut chips.

Pippa is a great host. There is always a guest beer featuring a new Zealand craft beer. Steak night is a highlight for us as is the usual menu. Great to have a nice local pub serving great beer... Read more
