Smash Palace

Smash Palace started when our old bar - Goodbye Blue Monday - fell down in the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes. Smash Palace was located on Victoria Street for a couple of years before moving to its current location on High Street.

We take our burgers seriously and scratch-make most of the components on site. We reckon they're the best burgers in the country but you should come down and see what you think.

Our Thursday nights are world-famous and a must for anyone automotive-inclined.

Smash Palace is a family business and we are proud of the community we have created. The bar has become an important focal point in many locals' lives. It’s not just a place to drink beer (although it’s great for that), it’s a place to meet the local community and participate in the New Christchurch.
