“Best greasy spoon in town”
The aroma of home cooked food still attracts plenty of people through the doors of this delightful café more than 30 years after it served its first customer. Situated in the centre of Bungay in Cross Street Anthony Halsall and his friendly staff are ready to welcome you. Traditional dishes and breakfasts are very popular with diners who come here to enjoy locally sourced produce. You can sit out in the very pleasant rear garden where you can look at the charming fishpond while waiting for your meal. There are water basins for your dog to have a drink too!
I love brunch here. Something of everything, fryed to perfection.
Best fry-up in Bungay...and possibly, the world.
The cleaner side of 'greasy spoons'.. great breakfasts, superb people watching opportunities and a proper mug of tea. Known locally as the 'Gay Time Tearooms' or 'Bungay Cafe'.
