Ratings Summary
Easy stopover when moving across the country. Very close to town with food & history, or nature within the park. Has sites with full hookups (including sewer) which seems hard to come by in Canada. The full site is $47 and prices go down from there if you only need electric & water or even just electric.
Only major downside is being adjacent to the industrial train tracks & noise that comes with it, but sites are wide and easy to get into. Check in was painless. Very close to the trans Canadian highway.
Note - the phone number didn’t work for me so I looked it up online. 1-306-692-2285. The bridge into the park has a weight limit of 5 (metric) tons. There is another route but the road was closed when we passed it.

$36 is based on Electric only site.
Staff were pleasant. Unfortunately with a not my responsibility attitude.
One shower worked reasonably. (Free) Toilet seats not secure and one toilet not secured to the floor (leaching toilet water around base)
ZERO ventilation in bathroom. Fan present but not running.
Bug infested due to lack of cleanliness and night light directly over men’s bathroom door.
After washing my hands used paper towel and wiped the counter edge where it meets the wall - black dirt and mold.
Rained for couple days on and off. Dirt became mud. Had to use 4 wheel drive to get out of spot because rear wheels were starting to spin.
Hope you like trains. You will hear them day and night.
Cell service (Bell) was almost non existent.

The park was easy to find. It is located just south of the city on River Road . . There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. The interior roads are gravel. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic.
Our site, 48, was a pull through that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is very poor for a rural park. Some sites had a vegetation barrier but very few serviced ones.. Each site has a table and most have a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was pretty (many lilac bushes in bloom) but the grass needed to be cut badly. There was a lot of long grass that was tick infested. Our dog had two and I had three. All were discovered before they pierced any skin.
There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean.
There are trails from the park as well as Kayak and Canoe rentals on site.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $40.00 per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again only if the grass has been cut.
