Camp Hither Hills

All sites are level and FHU. Water is from a well, and pressure is low. WiFi is free, but was very weak at my site (unusable). I didn't use the toilets or showers, so can't rate them. There is no pool (Owner has closed it.) Campground is very convenient to most shopping. There is no store on the premises. Ottawa is just down the road, although not via a major highway. Sites have picnic tables, but no fire rings. Campground is next to a rather busy road, so is somewhat noisy. This is an older, family-run campground, and the layout does not resemble a "commercial" operation. My site was in a section of transient, 30-amp sites in an open field with little shade. Most of the sites are occupied by seasonal residents. It's a good place to stay if you're sightseeing in Ottawa.

Stayed here for 4 nights to explore Ottawa and it takes about an hour to get downtown via bus/light rail. You need to park by the Walmart on Bank St and walk past the rest of the stores in the mall to the Greensboro station with the kiosk outside. You can’t park in the park and ride lot without a permit. At the kiosk you can press a button to speak with a person who will tell you how to get to your destination. Or you can use Google public transit directions. The RV park was quiet. Sites spacious with gravel and a patio. Could never access the WiFi despite multiple tries.

We stayed here to visit downtown Ottawa. Our site was large and level. They electric and water were very good. The camp grounds is older with many seasonal occupants.

We stayed at this location because we were looking for nothing more than a nice clean campgrounds close to downtown Ottawa and we got it. If we were going to Ottawa again we would stay here. There is not much to do for families with children. They do have a small pool as you enter the campgrounds.

The campground is located in a rural/industrial area south of Ottawa. The grounds could use some updating. We didn’t use the pool, laundry or restrooms (since we had full hook up). Our site was between two older seasonal trailers.
Our site had a nice cement patio and newer picnic table. The hook ups were excellent (water, electric, sewer).
We drove to the Greenboro station (Bank St, north of Walmart parking lot) and took the bus and light rail to Parliament Hill and canal areas. You purchase the $3.50 fare at the kiosk before entering the station with Cc or cash.
