“Experience life in the early 19th century”
Experience life in the early 19th century when you visit our "living history" museum. The Museum is surrounded by 32 acres of parkland, an herb garden and nature trails. A well-recognized local landmark since 1913, the monument stands 100 feet tall to commemorate a century of peace between the British and the Americans. In 1999, the Grandview (Nash-Jackson House) was relocated to Battlefield Park. Battlefield House Museum greatly anticipates the eventual opening of this welcome addition to the Park. After significant restoration of Smith's Knoll, Battlefield Cemetery was re-opened as a National Historic Site on June 4, 2000.
