Hartt Island RV Resort

I had no idea that I was booking a reservation at a waterpark..and a very busy one at that. Not only was the park full with campers, but families from miles around come here to have fun. This popular campground has not only a waterpark pool area, a mini golf course, rock climbing, food trucks, it is situated on the beautiful Saint John River, so kayaking and canoeing. As a single person, this was a bit more than I needed, but the kids really seemed to be having the best time here.

The sites are level gravel, and rather large in size, with a wide grass area between you and the next site. Though there aren't any trees or shrubs for privacy, it didn't feel like you were looking in the next campers window. There are a lot of pull-through sites, but a number of the back-in sites backed to the gorgeous Saint John river, allowing for beautiful views. The bike trail backs along this campground too, so you could walk or ride all the way to downtown, really awesome.

There were a wide range of site types, from tent to full hook-up RV, as well as overflow areas where you basically have a place to park your rig and that's it.

One of my favorite touches were the small garbage cans at the end of your site. Love that. The bathrooms were extremely clean, even with how crazy busy this place was.
