Nackawic is such a beautiful place, well worth taking the detour off the highway. The axe was a great photo op and we ate at a wonderful diner there as well, Whatchamacallit Diner, owned by a very nice local lady.

This was a fun so on a small town! There is ice cream across the street from the axe too!

In a large park by the arena. If you're planning to stop for a lunch this would be the place - lots of seating and a porta-potty

This is a beautiful spot. There is a marina there now too. What a great place to pull in off the highway. The Big Axe Brewery just down the road is awesome too!

Nice little Stop! The Axe is located in a small park with a playground along the St John River. There are also places for a picnic here and portable toilets.

It's an Axe! Why bother stopping off? It was a beautiful. Set near the water, a park setting for a nice outdoor break & stretch. The Axe is kinda cool too & terrific photo op. After 4 hrs driving, on our way to PEI, we stopped here with a portable BBQ & a football. Beautiful grounds around & gazebos along the water front. It was quite windy when we were there but a nice stop off.
