“Yes, its a whole village of naughty Gnomes.”
Gnomesville is home to over 3000 Gnomes who have migrated from all over Australia. What started with just one gnome as part of a protest over an intersection has turned into a full town with multiple sports teams, families, local celebrities and “a fenced-in detention area for bad gnomes. They haven’t all been stolen, many have been gifted by gnome owners wanting to settle the grumpy little creatures in a gnome of their own. Expect to lose a few hours wandering through the villages and glades full of playful, naughty and sentimental Gnomes climbing logs, hanging out in trees, playing cricket, and even flying planes. There’s no end to what a gnome can do. Or gnome puns. You’ll get to gnome them all at Gnomesville. You may be so may engnomoured by the place you’ll decide to return and contribute a Gnome of your own. But don't be tempted to take home a souvenir... Gnomish legend has it that bad luck will surely follow. Gnomes are available for purchase from the Ferguson Valley Visitor Centre on Ferguson Road in the Dardanup Townsite. Gnomish history and fact sheets are also available for a gnomely sum. Located by the roundabout at the junction of Wellington Mill and Ferguson Roads, Wellington Mill Gnomesville is approximately 30 minutes drive from Bunbury. There is no restroom though, so plan ahead.
This is a fun little stop to appreciate a quirky aspect of Aussie culture. You could spend up to an hour here just admiring the different gnomes that have moved to Gnomesville!
