“Constructed of local, hand-cut ‘Duck Pond’ stone, this museum houses a collection of local history memorabilia and complements nearby Mill Cottage Museum.”

The Port Lincoln Pioneer and Descendants Club display their memorabilia donated over a period of many years by (now deceased) pioneers and their descendants in a purpose built museum known as Settlers Cottage. It is located in Flinders Park nearby to Mill Cottage on the Flinders Highway.

Settlers Cottage was officially opened on 6 November 1987 by the Hon Lynn MF Arnold, Minister of State Development and Technology, Minister of Employment and Further Education. It was a joint initiative between the Government of South Australia Youth Employment scheme and the Australian Bicentenary Authority City of Port Lincoln.

The group also has a collection of scrap books, photographs, newspapers, and pre owned books providing information for people who are searching for information regarding people, places and events.
