“A gem, hidden down the south end of the coast close to Danger Point.”

There is a walking track that takes you from the southern end of Coolangatta, through Snapper Rocks, Rainbow Bay and the beach is just behind the Rainbow Bay RSL. There you will find a bright green frog painted on the rock on the hill, which will indicate you are in the right place. This quiet little beach is sheltered from the wind and is a perfect place for a picnic with the family or a sunbake if you need to work on your tan as it is not a well-known beach for tourists, if you can’t find this Gem – it is also called Greenmount Beach.
