Corroboree Billabong is part of the Mary River Wetlands which are teaming with birds and also have one of the largest concentration of Saltwater Crocodiles in the world. These wetland habitats are a paradise for birds, fish, crocodiles and other wildlife. The scenery here is spectacular with lush wetlands covered in an abundance of pink and purple lilies. Enjoy a guided scenic cruise on these pristine wetlands viewing an amazing variety of birds and also crocodiles in their natural environment.
Get up close and personal with the local wildlife while listening to interesting information from your guide about the region. They offer a variety of cruises throughout the day of 1.0 hour, 1.5 hours and 2.5 hours in length, cruises operate daily from April to October. For visitors with their own transport, this destination is only a 75 - 90 minutes drive from Darwin (105 kilometres) and on your way to Kakadu. If you do not have your own transport, they operate a 1 Day Tour from Darwin out to the cruise and back from May to October. The 1 day tour offers hotel pick-up and drop off, air-conditioned transport, 2.5 hour wetland cruise and a delicious lunch.
