Getaway Adventures/ Wine Country Bike Tours, Napa and Sonoma's oldest bike tour company offers visitors and locals alike tours of smaller, family owned wineries. Guests can select from a winery intensive or cycling intensive ride, with a local guide that takes guests behind the scenes at these wineries, getting an insiders view of the wine making process. Guides are wine educators, Sherpa, concierges, and sometimes confidants. But the bottom line is that they are here to enhance the trip; from preparing a gourmet lunch, to fixing the occasional flat, to giving guests a course on grape growing called ìgrapes 101î . Wineries visited include Chateau Mt Elena, Bennett Lane, Envy, Cuvaison, Clos Pegase (great cave tour) among others. Trips are from 9:30 to 3:30pm. Guest will visit 4 wineries. Price is $149.00, which includes lunch, bike rental helmet, and a local expert guide. We also include a souvenir tasting note booklet and a wine knowledge ìcertificateî. Kayaking and Hiking day trips also available as well as 2 to 4 day vacation packages.
